This reflective exhibition brings together artworks created by 20 participants who spent a year exploring themes around death, dying and grief through stories, poetry, guided imagery and personal experience. Alongside the exhibition, visitors can attend a series of talks and discussions, including the unveiling of Portland’s first Wind Phone for quiet reflection.

This family-friendly stargazing night invites young people to explore Saturn, the Moon and seasonal constellations with experts from Weymouth Astronomy Club, alongside storytelling, creative activities and guided sky tours. It’s a relaxed outdoor event designed to spark curiosity and wonder under the night sky.

Portland Advent(ure) transforms the island into a living advent calendar, with 12 surprise pop-up performances appearing in unexpected locations from pub corners to schoolyards. Each evening features local and visiting artists, including Destination Opera and the Voices Unbound Community Choir, with a final celebratory performance at The Cove House Inn.

Step back into the sixteenth century with a weekend of living history at Tudor House Museum, featuring hands-on Tudor crafts, carol singing and live Renaissance music. Visitors can explore the sights, sounds and stories of the Tudor era as local storytellers bring this historic house to life.

Yule Be Merry is a joyful, family-friendly festive show that offers a shorter and sillier alternative to panto, designed as a pay-what-you-can treat for ages 5 and above. Audiences can also look out for Noel and Holly in Weymouth town centre as they share their Cracking Christmas Tips to help ease seasonal stresses.

Big Party Hat 2025 celebrates Portland and Weymouth being named the 2025 Towns of Culture with free creative workshops where young people can design and decorate their own oversized party hats. The project will culminate in a special end-of-year moment, inviting everyone to take part in a joyful community celebration.
